SRTI Park emerges as hub for hydrogen technology as green hydrogen startup REBOOZ is named winner in Sharjah Advanced Industry Accelerator (SAIA) program
SHARJAH, December 6, 2022: The Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTIP), the vibrant incubation hub for innovation-driven startups, continues to race ahead with development of hydrogen energy. The latest demonstration of this direction came with SRTIP naming REBOOZ, a UAE-based startup, as the winner of the Sharjah Advanced Industry Accelerator (SAIA) 2022 programme.
The judging panel named REBOOZ as the winner for inventing a patent-granted hydrogen technology for combustion engine rejuvenator machines—an innovation based on H2E Green Technology.
REBOOZ Technology is 100% hydrogen-based. The REBOOZ CR1003 machine utilizes water molecules that are ionized and decomposed through the nano-coated ion membrane to generate hydrogen atoms. The Hydrogen atom enters the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine through the intake manifold and mixes and burns with gasoline or diesel. After entering the internal combustion engine, hydrogen atoms quickly diffuse into the combustion chamber, including spark plugs and fuel injectors.
Mr. Hussein Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTIP, said: “We congratulate REZOOZ on winning the SAIA 2022 top prize. The Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park is at the forefront of helping accelerate the switch to hydrogen by fostering startups that have developed unique technologies in this field. We believe hhydrogen has the biggest potential to meet the energy needs of the world and thus contribute very impactfully to the global challenge of reducing carbon emissions. We are confident that REBOOZ innovations at SRTIP will be world-leading and path-breaking.”
Mr. Ola Lind, founder of REBOOZ, said: “We are thrilled to be named the winner in this prestigious programme by SRTIP. We are naturally excited to conduct further research on SRTIP premises in Sharjah as it is our vision is to be a tier-one sustainable leader in providing innovative technology to enhance the communities and our planet’s social, economic, and environmental well-being. Our mission is to drive sustainability throughout the automotive industry by building innovative products that bring benefits to the community and the planet.”
Dr. Tamer Mitwally, CEO of REBOOZ, said: “We are proud of our green hydrogen solution as it brings many benefits to the society and the planet. The benefits include up to 70% CO2 emissions reduction and up to 30% more Horsepower and Torque, with water molecules as the raw material and no chemical substances, no disassembling of any parts, no erosion and damage to engine parts and components and minimal wastage and usage. We are thrilled to be part of the SRTIP ecosystem.”
SRTIP already has in place a plan that is being executed in collaboration with the American University of Sharjah (AUS), for developing an Applied Research Ecosystem for sustainable energy solutions in new technologies for generating Green Hydrogen, being one of the most promising future-proof technologies.
REBOOZ offsets the carbon footprint by planting one tree for each rejuvenation clean. Each customer will receive a code to determine the precise location of the tree, the species, the date of planting, and the farmer taking care of it. Customers can even check transaction history by utilizing EOSIO protocol, the leading open-source blockchain platform that enables transaction transparency.
The 3rd SAIA programme had shortlisted 7 startups from Egypt, India, Poland, and the UAE. The programme is designed to offer global startups an opportunity to join the SRTI Park ecosystem, embedding them in a thriving ecosystem brimming with possibilities and complete with relevant industry linkages.
