40 students join “Innovators’ Camp” organised by SRTI Park and Sharjah Education Council
The three-week event is hosting professional workshops using latest technical equipment
Sharjah 15 December 2022 – The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) in association with Sharjah Education Council has launched “Innovators’ Camp” for students at the Sharjah Open Innovation Lab within the Park.
The three-week camp will have professional and training programs, including specialized workshops based on experiential and cognitive learning and skills acquisition, in various fields, particularly sustainability and artificial intelligence.
The program has attracted 40 students who will learn how to develop solutions to various problems and challenges, and how to make prototype products using advanced tools.
Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park said the program reflects the park’s vision to spreading knowledge of modern technologies among the new generation of students, and enable them to get hands-on training on the latest and most modern devices and equipment in different fields at a single location.
“SRTIP plays the role of an economic catalyst for knowledge, innovation and entrepreneurship, in line with the rising standing of the UAE as a global centre for the fourth industrial revolution, by contributing to shaping the future sectors, led by robots, drones, 3D printing and self-driving transportation, as well as advancing the path of scientific, applied and technological using Internet of Things and big data,” Al Mahmoudi said.
He added: “Developing human capital is one of the main strategic objectives of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, and we are proud to play a pivotal role in grooming the next generation of specialists, professionals in additive manufacturing, and experts in modern technology.”
SOILAB is designed to provide students, researchers and innovators with the latest technologies and modern and innovative machines in several fields and different specializations, at a nominal cost, in addition to attracting international companies in these sectors in a unified place.
SOILAB serves as an incubator for startups and innovative businesses, providing an environment conducive to creativity and innovation by providing a space that allows the community of practitioners to exchange materials and learn new skills and focus on engaging participants in the learning content, and also allowing schools and universities to be a part from this project.
